F54 block crank case breather removal

I searched and googled but can't seem to find anything. How do you take it out? Does it unscrew or what? Thanks

In the rebuild your L series it says to leave it in if you can - what's most people's experience? I don't really want to send the block in to have it hot tanked with the tree branch sticking out Maybe tap it an put on a AN fitting?

I would just take it to the machine shop with it still in place. They will remove it properly (well... hopefully) and either reinstall it, or give it back to ya in a box (probably the latter since you will need to paint the block after hot tanking).

Do they typically primer the block after they hot tank it to keep it from rusting before it gets back to you?
