Unhappy Exhaust System.

This is my First Post.new to the site.I recently got a 1981 280z,very good condition little rust but no rot. I plan on putting In a JDM used L2.0 Turbo engine in the next week or soo.Problem is i cannot find a bolt on exhaust sytem for the turbo model. My plans are to run stock until next spring.I'll be putting in a T3-t4 upgrade. What is the best exhaust size to use and where can i get a bolt in one ? thanks.

There is no "best".A good place to start for ease of installation is a 2.5" downpipe that flares to 3.0" at the end, then go 3" the rest of the way. This will allow for good flow that the turbo will need.Use mandrel bent pipe not crush bends.Crush bent is no better than stock. The other option for a stock system is to find someone selling the pieces on a forum or a salvage yard.

I see your a welder in your profile.Should not be a problem to fab yourself if you have a mig welder.A couple of donuts and a couple of u bends and some straight and you are in business. You can buy a flange made of .375" material premade here are some examples.http://www.mandrel-bends.com/catalog...lange-768.html

Were you admiring how the turbo looks so fresh, and the downpipe so rusty? I should have media blasted the downpipe, but it will eventually look like that again anyway.
