Tis purty; I love cars that look like that... my Mustang is going to stay that way indefinitely! I passed on an op to pick up a 77 model... but if i remember correctly, that one there you have is the most desirable, correct? Does she run and drive or just chill?

1969 - The First 500 left hand drive 240Z's that were produced in Oct. Nov. and Dec. of 1969. Due to limited quantities and "Classic" status these are considered by many to be the most collectable stock Z Cars.
1970-73 - 240Z (considered a true Classic by most automotive authorities).
1978 - 280Z Black Pearl Edition. First Black Z offered, and very limited production.
1977 - 280Z ZZZap Edition. Special Zapp Package - Bright Yellow w/Black, Brown & Red striping
1979 - 280ZXR is very rare and tied to the racing history of the Z Car (1000 produced)
1980 - 280ZX Tenth Anniversary Edition (3000 produced)
1984 - 300ZX 50th Anniversary Edition (5000 produced)
1988 - 300ZX Turbo Shiro Special Edition(1000 produced)
1970-73 - Nissan Vintage Z Program Cars. - The only Classic Cars Repurchased, Restored and Resold By Its Original Manufacturer. Aprox. 38 Datsun 240Z's were completed under this Nissan Factory Backed Program.

I don't think the 280ZXR is going to be all that collectible even though it was one of the lowest production limited run Z cars. Numbers produced don't always determine collectability. I collect arcade and pinball machines and Ms Pac Man is probably one of the most valuable games and it was also one of if not the highest volume produced. It's the "I use to have/want/remember" that makes stuff collectible - generally speaking of course....
