Drivetrain question

How hard is it to replace u joints on a 82 280zx and hou many are there?

they are pressed on. look underneath and count.

No wonder folks can't fix their cars with answers like that.

Tell me rogerz, are they pressed in from the left or from the right?

Should they be pressed in with a Arbor press, or a hydraulic press?

You have two on the drive line and, if I remember correctly, one or two per half shaft. On the driveshaft the u joints are the staked in style so it can be a bit of a pain for someone that hasn't dealt with staked in u joints.

Previous bad-u-joint guys got a better deal just buying and installing a new drive shaft, with all u-joints factory-fresh. Check that approach out for your Z before you get deeper into the u-joint headaches.
