Oh, I found the best Codec ever. It downloads all the codecs you could ever need for windows media player all in one neat package. I have yet to come across an audio format I couldn't play except for .m4a. Which I just had to download an extractor for. Anyways the codec package is called the XP Codec Pack. Here's a link to a free download: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/XP_Codec_Pack.htm . That makes everything better. Oh and it's got the AC3 filter in the pack. I downloaded that package and got rid of all my other media players except for Quicktime cause those are incompatible with WMP.
Oh and if you need an extractor that will convert any audio format to any audio format then download this: Easy CD-DA Extractor http://www.poikosoft.com/download.html It's only a trial, but every time it expires you can just download it again. And if you download the pack in the post above then don't worry about downloading anything else on that page. It's been indispensible cause m4a's and m4p's are taking over LimeWire. With this and the codec pack above I don't have to worry about what format my songs and video's are anymore.
