quick question... what was the first year digital gauges were installed in zx's... was it first in 83???

I have one in my 83 but i'm not sure...

Hum... it's been a while since I've dealt w/ the digi dash. I don't think the wiring itself is much different, just the plugs. Tho it would matter if you got it from a turbo or n/a.

I have an '83 Factory Service Manual for my digital dash 280ZX. I'm sure it has a wiring diagram. Let me know if want me to make a copy...Robert

its not my car, its my friends he picked up a 83turbo that he is restoring to original speks and his is not working corectly. So any help would be great.

I mean, those digital clusters go out. Replace it with another digital cluster if he wants to keep it stock. They may not be as accurate but they are different.

What's not working??
If it is gas and temp gauge there is a fuse in back of dash.
I think I can find the link if this is the problem.

I had to replace mine.

i have the digital dash in mine and yes they were optional in 83'. btw REDEYE!!! i have the SAME car as you but i have the swastika wheels. i don't see very many at all!! ZWEET ride!!
