Difference in Computers???

I have an 83 non-turbo car, but the spare computer I am looking at doesn't say turbo or non-turbo. What would happen if I put a turbo computer in my non-turbo car? Can i mess up the computer or my car if they dont match or does it not not matter? Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken, it would tell the injectors to dump more fuel than you would need, but that may be able to be adjusted out. Not sure of the other problems, though. Someone else should chime in on that...

Carl

P.S. You would probably need a different T.B. and turbo injectors...

The turbo ecu has completely different connections than the na... you can't just hook up a turbo ecu.

The turbo ecu connections look like thus:

oh, ok. I approve of the plugs. They qualify for a 280ZX turbo

That is good to know. I didnt know that the turbo ecu didnt have the straight 35 pin connector. So that makes it easy, if i find one in the junkyard, I will know which it fits. Thanks!!!

The last thing that had a straight 35 pinn connector was an 8-bit Nintendo...

OKAY, well actually two rows, one with 17 pins, one row with 16 and two blanks, but all plugged in with a single plug. Not like the plugs that is shown on the turbo one.
Bleach, i saw your stuff on ebay. Would love to have the spare tire cover, but the shipping is a killer. If it doesnt move, let me know. Thanks!!!

Not saying it was wrong, but the $45 range seemed high. Of course then again it is a odd shaped piece and it is coming from the northwest to the southeast, totally diagonally across country.

ya, its an oversize 1 box so even if it doesn't weigh anything it'll cost $20 to send to my next door neighbor

BTW, I've seen those pieces sell for about $100 on eBay so it really depends what its worth to you.
