Datsun GT-R
Datsun GT-R
Dunno if anyone read the same article but I was reading an article in a Jap tuning mag calling the Nissan GT-R a Datsun. Also, does anyone know why Nissan did not include a standard transmission option with the GT-R?
I'm pumped except its an automatic...
Also, sorry for posting this here, dunno where its supposed to go lol
take care,

because manual trannys are outdated, they take too long to shift, you have to take your hand off the steering wheel to shift and using two feet on three pedals is a PITA and datsun was never really a company it was a name nissan created the name datsun to sell there cars, but in 85/85 they went all over to officially nissan.
also (new) auto's will be able to more then you would be able to even comprehend doing.

you can still get new Datsuns in the UK i believe. and the GT-R is not "auto" in the usual sense. it uses clutches, not a crappy power stealing torque converter. and it can shift better than you. but i still think they should have included a standard manual option, as many people (myself included) enjoy having a clutch and stick. the whole idea behind a sports car is joy of driving.

the new GT-R's arent any thing like the old GT-Rs every one wanted, now they cost a fortune and lost most of its skyline background.
i just dont like em, i dont know why they would take a average everyday japanese car and turn it into the hellatiously expencive monstrocity they have created now

personally, I thought the Ztune was one of their best. When nissan let word out that they were going to produce a Gt-r, I'm guessing people just assumed it would be a skyline. I heard this car is excellent but a pain in the pocket. (at least it beat the bugatti in lap time lol) when exactly are they coming state-side because i've heard a bunch of different times...
