That's because everyone wanted the "New" look back in the 80's. Now everyone wants the "Retro" look.

 

i dont think everyone agree's with that when they see a 108" steel whip antenna hangin off the back of my mother jeep..

 

i just love the way the gauges go deep and look like a tunel on the S30. if i can get a spare S30 280Z dash. i might just play around with it

 

Honestly I think the only reason half of us own S130s instead of S30s is because of cost and availability. I know if I had a choice between a 1st and a 2nd gen I'd be all over the 1st gen even if the parts were harder to come by. Come to think of it I might start looking for a 1st gen haha, lighter, more power, more simplified, better handling, more aggresive stance, better looks IMO.

 

I prefer the S130. I only bought this S30 out of desperation. I like the added stability that comes with the S130s better chassis and improved aerodynamics.

For me the jury is still out on the looks department. I like the curvy sporty look of the S30 but at the same time I like the low sleek look of the S130. Two totally different cars. I like em both but the S130 gets my vote for a better overall complete package. Sure it's not as pure a sports car as the S30 but it makes up for it in other areas.
