CV Differential swap

I'm planing on doing a turbo swap on my S130 - I have everything but it will likely be a winter project. I have a Turbo rear end with the CV but IIRC the diff is 3.545 and my '83 NA is 3.9 Can I swap the guts from the u-Jointed diff to the CV? I'd like to keep the 3.9 if I can as I'm running the 280b tranny that came in my '83 and its not geared as low as the T5. Couldn't find any info on the swap.

The external measurements and the spline counts for the shafts are the same for all long-nose R200's.

OK I'm confused. I have a 280ZXT diff/cv set up I would like to install in my 280ZX NA. It has the 3.545 ratio. I want to know if I can change it to a 3.9. The 3.9 I have from my '83 280ZX NA has outputs for a u-joint. Can you use parts from the 3.9 to upgrade the 3.545? I want to convert from u-joints to a CV rear end.

Nismo means that so long has their both R200s, you can yank out (yes yank or pry w/e) the CV shafts and stab them into the other one with no issues.

OK I'm still missing something here. The bolt patern on the companion or output flange on the diff is different between the u-joint version and the CV version. Do you mean pull the output flange from the 3.545 and stick it in the 3.9 then the CV half shafts will mate up?

Yes pull the flanges out and swap them, their just held in with C clips if I remember right, so pull out the old, stab in the new till it clicks into place and your all good.

To convert to/from halfshaft/cv axles you have to pull the wheel hub flanges too... no big deal if you have a hub puller.

the diff flanges on the side just pull out (maybe a slide hammer, but usually 2 prybars). then install the cv's. a quick push or pop installs them. you then need the hubs with the correct bolt pattern for the other side at the wheel bearings.
