cannot find this part anywhere!!!!! help!!

alright, this weekend i went over my week check up on my engine and i saw that all my coolant hoses had acid build up on the ends of them, so i was like, "ok, just have to do a coolant flush and replace it" and then i was looking at the heater housing, ontop of the throttle body and its leaking on all sides...cant find it anywhere, can anyone find one? and also, i think it might just be a bad gasket...does it use a gasket and do they sell the heater housing by itself or with the throttle body? any help would mean a lot.

My advice... get a hose & bypass the throttle body all together. It's job is to keep the TB from freezing open / shut, or getting stuck (as air passes through a restriction, it makes the object cold). On a turbocharged engine, it's VERY unlikely to happen, as the charged air is warm already... no need to make it hotter.

So again... get a 90 degree bend coolant hose & bypass the tb.

I bypassed that heater on my non-turbo in the arctic Seattle weather with no problems at all this last winter. I just used a straight line and curved it over the throttle body; didn't even need to buy a 90 deg bend.

It's kind of along the lines of the injector fan: The OEM's would rather be safe than sorry. But do you really need these things? Of course not

wow....i guess you learn something new everyday...so it could only have positve effects by bypassing it than fixing it...is it recommended to plug up the holes in the housing? or not needed? it would look a lot more cleaner pluged up.

Unbolt the housing from the throttle body. The throttle body itself is sealed. That will clean it up a little.

great! thanks for the tips guys, i just got some interior paint and some fresh new black carpet, i just did the drivers side last night and instead of just using a whole bunch of glue i used chrome screw to bolt it down, gives it a good billet aluminum look to it, slowly turning the interior from tan to black, and also as i took apart the dash, i found a dash speaker, made from MA audio, magnet is as big as the cone! hooking it up with the sound system today to see how it works, and then it will look pretty nice for the motorsport show this weekend, even though its not in the show, looks good tho.
