Camber Asap
Hey whats up,
Short simple and quick!
Does anyone know where to buy anything to adjust camber on a 1979 280zx?
MSA discontinued the rear, but carries the front
A company named Specialty Products (www.specprod.com) Makes the front but discontinued the rear. I think they are MSA's supplier. If anyone has any more info lemme know or if you are getting rid of a camber kit
I used the Tokico/Tokico set up and am now in need of a camber kit so I can get some tires I actually like and they'll last a lil while.
Thank ya anyone!

no one makes the rear camber kit anymore (that I know of). I talked w/ a guy @ MSA last year & he said their camber kit was just a hole saw bit & template, and 4 slotted washers w/ new bushings. That allows the rear arms to drop down about 1/4 inch. I've thought about doing it on a spare rear end I have... but doin it freehand is kinda sketchy.

How about notching the rear crossmember like the 510 guys have done? They have simular trailing a-arms. That does some correction for camber and toe. I was thinking I'll try that on a spare suspension I have.

I am a dealer for specialty products at my shop. They don't stock or make any of the camber kits for the 280ZX anymore. On the rear, you should be able to take another specialty kit with eccentric cams (Like the ones for the front of a ford truck) and modify it like Bleach was saying. The original kit inlcuded the hole punch to install the cam. Just need to make the right size hole in the right place. Eccentric cams are available in a bunch of sizes for more or less adjustment. I haven't yet tried it, but I will be doing it very soon. I've got major camber issues after lowering the car. Once I figure out the right combo, I'll let you guy know.
