Call this my VERY SLOW build thread (Always wanted on of these)

Im going to start a build treand. Iv always wanted one and Im finly starting to do stuff to the ZX to get it back on the road.

So to start I redid the Valve cover.

This is the work start to finish

And its not messed up its just still wet from the final wash. Now it sets on the sheilf waiting for the rest of the parts to come in so i can start putting my beast back together.

Nice work! The accented parts definitely set off the valve cover. Its all about details. Keep up that level of craftsmanship and the rest of your Z should be sick when its done

On a side note-
You ever think you might try and just chill once in a while, Snw? No offense but you need to stop posting negative, unproductive criticism. Let the guy, or anyone else for that matter, share his/her project and not worry about you or some other idiot making dumb comments.

really? i saw no criticism there. i did forget to leave out that its a nice job on valve cover though never seen one like it before. perhaps i left out the more obvious hints to the sarcasm. sorry if anyone was hurt by my previous two sentences. i dont need anyone in tears i already am dealing with someone like that on the phone right now.

So what did you use to cover the red TURBO logo?

Looks very cool. It looks like you simply masked off the Turbo with tape after the red paint dried, then painted the whole thing in black, pulled off the tape to show the red TURBO and then polished the Nissan and the accent lines.

Very nice work.

I figured on the tape part... but did you use a razor to get the edges perfect? Or eyeball it?

Love the polish work on the Nissan logo and the rectangular accent. I might copy that also, do you mind? Nice work!

Don't worry, polishing the logo and the accent lines is a very common thing to do, so there's tons of "prior art".

How did you get the logo all shiny? Just sanded it down? What grit(s) did you use in that case?
