well guys here is some video from this years mostly nissan auto x 2006. i may not have won but it was a great blast. sit back and enjoy the fun of out of car and in car cameras. my brother was co-pilot and my g/f was external camera operator. it was cold and windy, some rain, but even a race car showed up.

this is my first run of the day, needless to say i missed the course compltely and dnf'd. im running a straight pipe, so just the sound is what mattered.


this is my second run, i got the course right, but the dang tailpipe came off, right at the stop box, then they kindly asked me to leave if i didnt put my muffler back on!! so i did.


here is the fastest car of the day, running 10seconds faster than me!!

there are 2 runs for this video, the first one sucks, the second is my friends turbo race car, he normally runs 19 psi boost, he had to turn it down to 9 psi for the autox.

last run of the day, notice the muffler, sounds good still, but not nearly as neat as when i had the straight pipe on!!


and last video is john. he was also at the canada meet. you guys expressed lots of interest for his car after seeing the pics of the meet, so here is some video. he was running about the same times as me

 

Shady man! I finally get to see a vid of your Z! That's a loud *** exhaust! Shiz... I gotta do auto-x next spring!

 

they measured my db from 100' with the car facing away from the meter. it was 100db!!

 

Shady...I don't want to be a kill-joy but I think it sounds better with the muffler on...sorry. What kind of muffler is that and what size is the exhaust pipe running the length of the car, do you run a header?

thxone, thats o.k, there is only a handfull of people that can hand my cars sound unleashed. i run a 2.5 mandrell bend kit from msa, with the turbo muffler, its slightly worn now, so its a bit louder and has more throat. and yes i got a header, from msa, with a 2.5" downpipe, instead of the crap 2" it came with

 

i liked how that silver 280Z sounded. pretty mean, at least over the recording. and yeah miatas make great auto-x cars.

 

Your car sounds pretty sick.. especially for an N/A, And you definatly seem to know what your doing behind the wheel.

what kind of exhaust set up is on that? or whats done wiht the motor? whatever makes it sound that nice....i was like...damn...and that full race Z is it turboed? cuase sounded liek some wooshing air was comin from its front end..besides that it was surprisingly quiet

 

thats my setup. and the motor is done seriously. the full race car is turbo, running 19psi of boost, he turned it down to 9psi for autox, or it would loop. thats actually my buddies road race car
