on another note, i wouldnt buy the jl. they make a good product too but its not worth what they want for it unless you can find it wayy cheap. you could get a set of crv's and be twice as loud.

hmm, couldnt you ask him? i mean.. its a simple question.. do you want SQL? (sound quality levels) or SPL (sound pressure levels) which is the choice over sound quality or bass? or both? that will determine the box if its ported, or sealed or even banpass. then is space an issure? that will determin the size of the box and generally how loud the system is if built with the right box, sub and power going to it. then his budget..how much he wants to spend on a sub? just lots of questions to ask but ya'll are basically saying go to walmart and find somthing round and put it in you're trunk.. =P
