when i bought my car most of my dash/console parts of the interior were sitting back in the hatch along with some other parts. so im assembling my car and painting some of the parts so the sun faded blue pieces that turned green arent as bad to look at anymore. well the knee panel underneith the steering column has a button/lever type thing that says pull open. and i was looking it looks like there are two small vacuum lines that hook up to it

my question is... what is this??

....excuse the hole that was cut in that panel. both panels had shitty speakers screwed into them.... so im going to buy new panels without big holes!

 

It's the foot vent control. It opens the foot vents when the slider is on another setting.
