42k miles 1978 280zx mint!

ok so what would an s130 be worth under thees conditions: 1978 280zx, baby **** brown with 42,000 Original miles! one owner, the car was bought by a lady new who had kids a few years after purchasing the car, after she had kids she stopped driving the car, she would drive it around the block and let the car worm up to operating temp every month or so to keep things loos. Other then that it has sat in a garage under a car cover. there is a little sun damage on the upper doer and rear deck, but the paint is still good, they just need to buffed out. the hole interior is in mint condition! as far as you know it could have just rolled off the assembly line! she has all the original paper work/books for the car + window sticker...

so my Question is, what would this car be worth?

thanks Aaron

Welcome to Zdriver. Now to educate you a little. the 280zx first came in 1979, and was produced until 1983. 1978 was the last year of the 280z. Which ran from 1975-1978. Unless the Z is a Fairlady Japanese model. Which would be the right year. But in Japan, it would be a 1978 280z, not zx. Anyway, hope that helped you some. As for worth, I couldn't help you there.

like everything else it is worth what someone is willing to pay and someone is willing to sell. s30 usually worth more than s130. I'd say between 2K maybe up to 5K

Ok its a '79. It could have been manufactured in '78, but '79 was the first model year for the 280ZX.

prior to 1981 there was no federally mandated standard 17 digit VIN. That's probably the serial number you see there

Milage isn't the issue on these cars - its the rust..... a rust free car is worth getting but if you are looking to buy it and flip it because it has low milage good luck with that in this market.....
