Hello-New to the Forum
Hello everyone,
just wanted to take a quick minute to stop and say hello.
Today my husband bought our 14 year old daughter a 80 ZX, a 79 ZX (Donor car), and even got a extra turbo engine to boot.
They plan to spend the next 2 years building my daughters first car.
Wish us well, and I’m sure you will see/ hear more from us in the future.
Dad had a 280 that he turned into a drag car when our daughter was much younger, I guess her love for the car never faltered.
Ive already added a few pics of us loading them both up today and bringing them home.

Wahoo! Welcome to ZDriver!
The good news is the turbo swap is really easy... there are lots of pictures and tutorials. I have quite a few diagrams that I've made over the years. The turbo engine drops right in, and if you have the turbo engine efi harness, it's literally plug and play with just a few wires needing to be re-routed. Keep us posted.

Thank you, I will...I think to start of Dad is going to leave the original L28e engine in for the time being. We are not sure That the turbo engine is even any good yet, but what are the pro’s and con’s of converting the non turbo to a turbo?
We are super excited that our daughter has taken a interest in this, her Dad is a gear head..lol
Basically what we are dealing with is this, our Daughter attendees a small private Christian school here in Alabama. Most of the kids in her school can afford new cars for the girls, and several of the boys drive muscle cars, old nova’s , mustangs etc.
She wanted something none of the other kids have. Gotta love her for wanting to be different.
Trust me you will see a lot of posting from us over the next few months, it may just be updates on the work, questions if we run into any etc.
Here are a few pic’c from today’s work. 7-15-18,
7-16-18, taking parts off the “donor car” for her car.

New here as well - first post. I have 1983 non-turbo. This is my second, my first was a 1979 280zx.
I bought this car for $250 and am going to do a 'frame' build. Just haven't decided if I am going to go V8 or stock.....
Going to start breaking it down this weekend. ALL the work will be done by myself and lazy-a$$ 19 year-old son.
