1982 280ZXT Ignition Issue

Recently bought A 280ZXT from a somewhat "shady" dealer.
Wasn't getting a spark and narrowed it down to the Ignition Control Module.
I followed Skittles HEI Mod, but the wiring diagram confounded me, as I wasn't getting the same input voltages as he was.
Moreover, I'm also confused as to why there is a ground wire to the positive on the coil in the schematic.
Skittles HEI Mod:

Thanks, Luke! ^^

Could be a toasted ECU.
I have a spare 280zxt ecu that would act normal (activate fuel pump, LED lights up), but wouldn't send signal to ignitor. Swapped ecu, fired right up.
If you aren't getting power from the yellow trigger wire, but the ecu LED light comes on, it's toast. If no power to the ecu, check the fusible link.
Did you trailer the car home from the dealer?

Definitely checked the fusible link, but haven't yet meddled with the ECU.
I'll get on that and post my findings first thing tomorrow after class!
I was trying to make sense of the repair guide and whatnot earlier today, could it possibly be due to the ignition relay?
Yeah, the car was definitely towed from the dealer; who said it had started up for him at random, but I've sure as hell never heard it run haha

Also make sure that the ignitor is grounded securely... the stock one grounds through the coil bracket, so if you were to "test it" while not bolted on, it wouldn't fire.
Which specific "ignition relay" are you asking about? Location?
Up close pics of your engine bay and ignitor setup would be helpful.
