100% stock road trip

Just got back from a weekend trip. Took the Z down the smokeys camping. Just had to say the stock set up worked out great! Highway I kept it @ 85 mph all day plenty of power even with the A/C cranking. Pulled the mountians @ 70. Got 33 Mpg cruise did act up couldn't get it to shut off. Pinned the mother everytime I hit the clutch. Ended up pulling the wires. WTF clutch or brake is supposed to shut it off??

w00t!

I don't understand your problem... The engine won't shut off when you turn off the key? Are all the other accessories still on too? If so, it's your ignition switch...

Ah, grammar pwns.

Did you try hitting the "on / off" cruise control switch? Or "coast" if you have an 82-83 ZX...

Yes, the cruise control should shut off when the brakes are tapped, or clutch pedal is pushed in. Check the pedal switches. Maybe you need a new cruise module.

Sorry about that! Boss was lurking. I will look up the parts tonight. I'm thinking its the Pedal switches, since the only way to turn it off is by the main switch. The car has no clutch interlock. I can't recall if dad messed with it. Or is this factory? But leaveing the highway @ 75 with the cruise stuck on , its a blast!
