Hey guys just wondering whats your timing set at? I'm trying to figure out whats the best for my 83 na 280zx. At 8 deg. I have no power till I hit high rpm. At 10 deg. it feels amazing but getting a misfire at high rpm. I'm starting to think its going to be something else other than timing. I have new plugs, wires, rotor, cap. I just want the most power I can get.

 

my timing is set to 36-38 deg total timing. (about 20 initial) its the best way to set timing. id do a tune up first to make sure all is fresh. check the play on the dizzy shaft while ur there. other than that you need to run better fuel to avoid the ping.
