Turbo Z Update

Been 1 week since I got the blue Z back on the road after getting the new turbocharger in. Still running very good - 200 miles since completed.
This weekend got the high idle fixed, clutch properly adjusted, new TPS, some brake work - new rear pads - adjusted and lubed parking brake.
Also replaced the damaged hood with a straight one off the black parts car.
Fun to do by yourself and get the bolts in and aligned (Bleach was busy this Fri & Sat but he gave me the clues of how to get it done)
Does not look too bad with a black hood on a blue car, it will do for now until I can get it painted.

Did you upgrade the turbo, or just rebuild?

I got a deal on a new garrett t3 from california. I still have the original turbo which I might rebuild and include with the other burgandy 83 I now have for sale on craigslist in Seattle for 850.00
I plan to do some mild upgrades to the motor and run the boost up to about 10psi, new custom fuel rail, fpr, intercooler maybe. Similar to bleaches plans.
I did not want to move the power band up too high in rpm's and have to down shift all the time which I think is a sacrifice you make with the hybrid's.

If I have a zx that I plan to remove the hood on regularly, I take off the torsion springs so I can just lay the hood flat and bolt it from underneath.

I just hold the hood up with one hand and then bolt it on upright. No problem for me.

x2... I've taken the hood off so many times now, I can do it blindfolded & hands tied behind my back! Oh wait... maybe I need one hand.
