turbo with oil cooler or turbo with out
so the engine im using for my swap has only an oil line from the oil pressure sending switch. the other engine from a donner car has oil cooler and fan.do you have any luck with the engine with no cooler. any opinions .
Yes and if you paint it red your luck will tripple!
The 5sp turbo didn't come with the oil cooler but the automatic did.... If you are going to run and oil cooler make sure you use a thermal plate with it (similar to the thermostat in your radiator)

I'm still not sure what you are asking...
There are many 5speed 280zx turbos still on the road that don't have an oil cooler. I believe the reason the auto turbo had the oil cooler was because the auto is a 3speed, so the rpm's hang higher when cruising.
So yes, running a turbo (L28ET) motor without an oil cooler is still safe, though I do suggest running an oil cooler if you plan on doing any mods at all, especially if you plan to increase the boost. And if you swap in the turbo combo gauges, you even get an oil temp gauge. Or you could just install an aftermarket one.
