a thinking queston 4 youi

How do you tell if the catalytic converter is plugged
I have a 79 280zx 63k original miles and all of sudden the car goes along and then dies then will not restart and the plugs are fouled put new plugs in and it goes for awhile.no smoke at all comming out the ***.other than normal

If the cat is pluged you will sence a lake of power.
you could be runing rich fowling out the plugs, and your cat could be working hard enough to burn the extra Co's. was the car one with an O2 sensor?

If it is truly plugged you would know there would be all sorts of garbage flying around somewhere. I put it on backwards once That was not coo at all.
