It probably is the gas. If it's been sitting for 2 years, drop the fuel tank and check it to see if it has rusted at all. The gas will most likely be varnish too so it'd be best to get rid of it and put fresh gas in there before it clogs up the fuel system.

Unplug and plug in the ecu like 4-5 times. My freinds $100.00 turbo had this same problem and nobody could figure it out. Try that. Hope it works.

I've got a friend whose Honda sat for a few months then did the same thing. I suggested resetting the computer just as a guess because nothing else was working. Lo and behold! That was the ticket! Try it, maybe you'll get as lucky as we did.

That is a common problem that is usually associated with water in your throttle position switch. (or the switch could be bad) On the side of the throttle body, there is a small black box with a plug on top. Take the plug off and clean it with WD-40, and then let it dry. Plug it back in and you should be fine. I just ran into this problem this weekend after I washed a 280Z engine. Happens every time. It took a couple trys of cleaning and drying the plug before it worked properly.
