Replacing suspension and braking parts?

I want to go ahead and replace most (if not all) of the suspension parts on my 280zx. So far my list of what to do is as follows:

-Brake rotors.
-Brake pads.
-Brake calipers.
-Brake hoses (Upgrade to braided lines?).
-Springs and Struts (Probably lower the car while I'm at it).
-All bushings (MSA kit).
-Bearings.
-Wheel studs (mine are shot for the most part).
-Idler arm.
-Tie rod ends.
-Ball joints.
-Tie rod adjusting sleeve.
-Sway bar end links.
-Wheel oil seal.

Is there anything I am missing? Anything you guys think I should upgrade? I was thinking about potentially buying drilled and/or slotted rotors. What's your opinions on those?

Regards,

Derek

oofa... that's going to cost a pretty penny. Is there any special reason you are going to replace the calipers? The rotors... are they too thin to be machined? Bearings... can't repack them? Tie rod ends... what's wrong w/ them? Tie rod adjusting sleeve?

Sounds like you've made your list... but it's going to cost you $1k+ just to refresh your suspension and brakes. I suggest replacing only what is needed.

Calipers are rusty as hell, and two are semi-seized.(A lacking, slow range of motion)

One front one is warped for sure. I'd much rather just replace it as a set, and potentially upgrade at one time.

I could do that, but it's not that expensive to buy new ones. Sitting for 11 years didn't help them by any means either.

The safety inspection people here are bitches, if they find anything wrong with anything, your car fails. My two "sources" from a while back have moved on to greener pastures (read: got caught), so unless I do some real hard searching, I likely won't even be able to find another source to get a "safety". Plus, in the grand scheme of things, tie rods aren't expensive.

I have about 1800 saved up right now, and I'm working full time now. I want to just basically redo everything, that way I know it's all done correct. I can't really say I trust the previous owners repair methods at all, and sitting for 11 years probably didn't help everything either.

Also, is there anything else not on my list that you would suggest replacing "while I'm at it"?

I can't think of anything else at the moment. The car is going to ride better than ever, that's for sure!

That's my plan, and thanks for the help. I'll let you all know how this turns out for me. With my luck, somehow the entire car will fall apart.

Damn rusty Z's.
