Reason: Bad temp sensor.

Did you swap in the digi dash?

Ok from the look of that picture I see a few things wrong, 2 wires unplugged, 2 other wires spliced together and taped off.....

The two spliced wires looks like they go to the control module on the side of the dizzy...

My first post was pretty helpful.......

What year is the car? (I would assume it's an 83 because digi dashes only came in 83).

Is it the orig motor?

Where's your Haynes manual? No Haynes manual? Why haven't you downloaded the FSM? www.xenons130.com

Well the digi dash only came in 83 & required a different temp sensor... since the motor is a 79, I would say you still have the analog temp sensor. Refer back to my first post.

Let me clarify: YOU NEED THE TEMP SENSOR FOR THE DIGITAL DASH.
