Turbo models don't have an idle mixture screw. Idle is controlled by the ecu.

You can adjust the idle on the turbo models by adjusting the scew on the side of the throttle body. It's on the side towards the engine and can be a PITA to get to (especially with a hot engine). You have to adjust it from underneath the throttle body and it's just a tiny thing. I've posted a pic of it on here in one of these threads cause somebody else asked how to adjust the idle speed on a turbo model. Adjusting the scew adjusts how far the throttle plate sits open, thus adjusting the idle speed.

Are the air regulators the same for turbo and non turbo? I'm going to be heading to the junkyard Monday to see if I can find a replacement for car. I've seen one 280zx turbo (may have just been there for repairs since they do that there too) and about three n/a

so I cleaned the AFM, and when I cracked her open following the tutorial, the carbon track was completely worn through, so I adjusted that, then cleaned the corrosion off the connectors, put her back on with new couplers since the old ones were hard, fired her up, and she is a beast once again... just got 3rd gear chirp, first time in almost 2 months...

thanks guys!
