does anyone know the exact original battery size on the 79 280zx? Can't seem to find it anywhere.

Size as in physical dimensions? CCA rating? Post locations? Your local parts store has those specs....

 

Battery series size. I have looked at the auto stores and the have 24, 25 and other series listed. I race this car and in our rules it says " battery must be same as original" so I am trying to find the smallest that was original on the car. The 25 series is smaller than 24 and i have seen the 25 listed as original but can't confirm.
so if it is as 24 then I am looking for the lightest I can find.

 

24 series is what I have always seen in the s130's.
