Original 1973 240Z w/ 8,728 original miles
Well I went to the storage facility and took lots of pics. Unfortunately, the rear brakes where locked and there was another car in the way so I couldn't move it out and take better pics.
As I was told from the owner it was bought from Bob Tedd Datsun in Fairfax, Virginia it has been in the area all its life, and in storage all it's life. According to the gentlemen that is storing and watching the car over the past 12 years he says it has hardly ever been in the sunlight, it has a few dings on the side and in the drivers side rear quarter by the tail light and the front bumper but this Z is an absolute time capsule.
Obviously, I was only able to take pics of 3 out of the 4 sides and because it is in a sea-land container, the light was not very good. I took many pics but in it's current location they didn't give the Z do justice, you have to see it in person to believe what a true treasure it is.
The owner put the Z in my hands to make sure it gets a good home. I want to let our Z community know about it first before releasing it on the open market. However, before knowing the owner he almost had it sold to a teenager but the insurance killed the kid so the deal never went through, thank goodness or this Z may have been a loss cause.
I would like to add, please pass the word around the Z car community. I will try and answer your questions to the best of my ability but this car has no history, hidden past other than it is a 30-year-old new car. All original no rust no nothing other than the few dings as listed above. If you’re wondering about the steering column, the ignition was replaced but the plastic was not put back on. I will try and find out why, if someone inquires.
