Installed new alternator and now nothing electrical

I put my new alternator in after having to wrench out the mount bolted to the block because who ever put the last one in broke the bolt off inside. Finally finished that and put it all back together. Got to putting the battery in and i guess i left my headlights on. Sparks and smoke. The little relay box in front of the battery was smoking. Checked all fuses theyre fine car starts runs and drives. But theres no blinkers tail lights interior lights gauges nothing electrical but one headlight. Is it the relays? BCM? Any ideas? Please help haha

And you didn't open up this box?

Fried fusible links. Replace.

And make sure you hooked up the alternator correctly...

I did open the box. No melted wires still have power in there. Alternator is hooked up right. Stumped.

Took a look at the fusible links. Melted wires look like they welded themselves. Hopefully that all i melted haha

Sounds like you hooked up the wires to the wrong terminals. Any why are you installing a "rakzin volt stabilizer"? From the 2 minutes of research that I did... everyone and their dog says it's just a gimmick and has been proven to do little to nothing (like that magic secret gas pill that gives you 23092302397mpgs).

The 280ZX alternator is internally regulated.

The previous owner installed it. I havent read any good reviews on it i just havent gotten around to taking it out. I think i need to replace the fusible links. Now when im driving, over a short period of time, the car goes dead. My starter solenoid is shot too. Maybe its staying open and pulling battery power at the same time?
