Idiot lights come on durring acceleration?!?

This is really weird... when I'm accelerating hard, or going up a hill sometimes, my idiot lights will come on... Door, Fuel, etc. I think there's about two on each side of the console that come on.

Any ideas on whats going on here? The car doesn't seem to suffer any kind of problems when this is happening... just those 3 or 4 lights come on.

It doesn't change when this happens, it sits just under 14V most of the time on the road though I believe.

It's gotta be an electrical prob of some kind. A short, or faulty ground.... maybe a loose connector under the dash....

when power is on to your ECU but your alternator is not charging yet... right before you start your car. That is when those lights are on.

well your coil is more rapidly turned on and off on high rpm's, and excelleration, so that is more demand off your battery, but I wouldn't think enough to cause that kinde of prob. I would go with the bad conection thing, seeing how old these cars are conections tend to be not what they used to be.

Looks like the problem has augmented its self. Now occuring any time I rev the engine up, even sitting completely still, and I can see a noticeable drop in voltage now.

Guess my alternator's going out? Damn... was really hoping those kinds of things would last a few more months.

Not sure if its related or not... but car was having trouble keeping an idle when I started it earlier. It seemed to be fine in that aspect though after I drove it around for a while.
