Undo the strap bolts, unhook the fill neck... and drop. You can also read in a Haynes manual how to do it step by step.

gotta be more specific bro... what do you mean "thingy from the rear trunk???" All 280zx fuel tanks should be the same, but unless you have rust holes, you prolly don't need a new one. right? just clean it up.

What parts are you looking for? (be more specific)

contact your local radiator shop, they should be able to refurbish your old gas tank.

Actually, using CLR is a great idea. You still may need to do it several times, but that stuff works miracles. It's also awesome at getting hard water spots off your car... just don't let it stay on the paint for any period of time.

Funny thing is that DATSON is how it woulda been spelled since that was the correct spelling. But something about the Japanese language has that as meaning something you just shouldn't use for something like car name I don't know, I got some literature on it somewhere.

If you haven't resolved the rust problem go to www.por15.com or you can call 1-800-457-6715 and request a catalog. They have all the products for treating rust including restoring a gas tank (unless it's too far gone.) You can get anything you need to work on rust. Good luck
