help needed

i'm still having computer problems with my 83 zxt, and i know someone who is parting out an 81 zxt. now i know the ecu's aren't interchangable, but can i take the ecu,the wiring harness, and all of the associated sensors and stuff off of the 81 and make it work on mine. if so how hard would it be.

The 81 uses a crank angle sensor to trigger the ignition and the 82/83 does not.

You can make it work, but it becomes a lot more involved.

I would keep looking for an 82/83 Turbo ECU.

Also, I think the 81 turbo ecu has dropping resistors used so it will not work with an 82-83 along with the different CAS mentioned above. You can use the afm and other small sensors though. Those are all the same.
