Heat & AC Light Replacement

I have a 1983 280ZX that has an illumination bulb burnt out on the heater/ac control. This is not an automatic control unit it's manual. I wanted to know if there was any way to change this bulb without removing the entire unit.

It's pretty hard to get to. Unless you remove the dash. I think anyway. Unless you can get to it, by removing the main instrument cluster. And then maybe seeing if you can reach the ac/heater control panel. And the bulb would be located on the side of the faceplate behind it. I had my dash apart not too long ago. And remember some things about it. Good luck

It's been a while since I've replaced those bulbs... but it shouldn't be hard at all. Remove the dash colored bezel that borders the a/c controls, then use needle nose pliers to loosen the 8mm bolt on each side of the slider faceplate, pop off the slider tips, pull off faceplate, replace bulbs. w00t.
