ok i dont know if this was the solution but my fusepanel was badly corroded....and my headlights did the same thing as yours....when got a new fuse panel it didnt do that any more....and i found out there is 2 fuses for the lights (not just one) when i pulled one fuse one light would go dim, when i pulled the other fuse the other light would dim....i dont know if this is it but it was with me

headlights
I checked fuses, the fuses are find and everything involving fuses so it might be the ground. another thing that just recently started occuring is the headlights stay on brights and sometime it will turn on to just regular head lights, someone told me that the connectors might be to close in. Would this be causing this?

it might be your switch(on the steering column). i had the same problem and when i searched for answers, alot of people with the same problem replaced their switches. i plan to replace mine soon, i have both lights ghetto rigged to one socket right now. i think the switch is also randomly putting my lights(light, heh) on high beam. after that, i can't get them off high beam, just have to wait for it to randomly go back to normal. good luck!

cheap fix
Okay heres what you do see replacing the switch and all is all way to intensive of a fix at least thats what i saw on my z. I had the same problem what i did is removed the plastic covering behind the steering wheel. Ok from there you have to position yourself below the steering wheel colum and disconnect the power going to the head light switch from there take off the two screws that hold a three to four prong copper levers. take that piece of with caution no to lose any parts, and dont mess with the other copper pieces up in that switch beleve me there hard to put back into place. Now from there go to your local junk yard and find the same exact piece and replace just replace it. I got two of the same copper switch replacements just incase it went bad again. The part should only cost like 2 to 5 bucks. Cause i paid 6 bucks for both. If you have any questions just ask.
