fuel system Qs

hello. as you can see i am new. my 83 S130 has a skip. i've narrowed the problem down to poor connections a the injector electrical connectors. i'm assuming there must be corrosion in there also because the boots are broken. what is the common fix for this other than a new harness. i see that the connector is the same generic style as most other cars so could i just splice them in? also i'd like to find some oem style hose clamps when i replace the fuel lines to keep the car looking original. anyone know where to find some?

I've never seen the Wire hose clamp other then on the car itself and their not to good compared to new FI hose clamps anyways. As for the connectors yes its really easy to splice in new ones and its a rather common thing, you can even buy kits for it. Just make sure to keep the polarity right when you put the new one on and you will be just fine

GM 3.8L engines have nice "quick release" fuel injector connections:

Yes those GM style clips are nice compared to the stock Bosch ones that came on the car. fits right on too.
