Hey guys!!!! I got a quick question. I have a 79 280zx 2+2. I also have a 81 280zxt donor car. I am figuring out my fuel pump is going out. I have some some part number crossing online and certain brands call for the same pump with both of them and some don't. Will the zxt work fine on my zx or not? I just don't have the money right now to buy a new one. I do plan on getting a new one though(unless the zxt works fine), so I was also wondering what brand/kind of pump would be good to go with.

Yes, all 280zx (L28E / L28ET) fuel pumps are interchangeable.

AutoZone / generic parts store fuel pumps are known to be duds.

 

Sweet!!!! Thanks for answering so quick. Is there any you would recommend then? I've never had a problem with Airtex but then it wasn't on a car like this

 

if the budget allows get a walbro 255, is a good start for any future engine modifications.

 

The parts interchange that I found says that the 81 fuel pump will work on the '79.
