91 Maxima infector Harness into S130

A local Z mechanic suggested I replace my cracked injector connections with a 91 Maxima injector harness. He gave me the exact part number to order. Now I can't figure out how to swap it. The maxima harness only has two wires for each group of three injector connectors. The S130 has a dedicated wire for each injector connector.
Anyone done this?

eh?

Cut and splice...

Use a soldering iron and heat shrink, and done.

Yea I can do that. I thought he told me I should use the new harness crimps. That is what's a little confusing.

Crimps usually suck, but some factory ones can be quality. Got any pics of this new harness?

Hopefully you didn't pay much, because you can score them for cheap at junk yards and still in great shape. FricFrac is also selling harness fix kits.

OK how do I know which wires to connect of the pair? There are two wires with the new harness. One is thick with a stripe, the other is smaller. The original harness has two small black wires. Does it even matter?

Cut the wires on the new harness about 3" to 4" back from each connector, then cut the old connectors on your car about 2" to 3" back from the plug (so you have an inch to work with on splicing).

Connect new plugs with same polarity as orig ones... done.

It wasn't missing before. All injectors are firing. I can hear them clicking away with a screwdriver to the ear.

Spark on all 6?
Checked / read the spark plug tips?
Were any of the injector seats dirty?
Were the wires clean when soldering?

Yes, good spark. Spark plugs are new NGK.
Wires clean.
Injector seats? Do you mean the ports in the intake the injectors insert into?
