A full tune up will do wonders for a tired motor.

Aside from that, we need moar detailz...
How many miles on your car?
When did the problem start?
Did it suddenly start?
What's the timing set to?
Have you checked all sensors and wiring?
Have you checked cap / rotor / spark plugs / wires?

Always start with the basics.

Make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks. I just had this problem this past week or so. One night my Z would barely idle, until I unplugged the C.H.T.S. I thought that was strange, but it ran better. So I left it alone. Then the next weekend, I was messing around under the hood, and noticed there was a pipe that was not connected to the top of the A.F.M. So I plugged it in, and it idled weird. So I went over and plugged the C.H.T.S. back in. Did some adjusting on the A.F.M. and T.P.S. And it started running better. Unfortunately, I lost quite a bit of fuel from running real rich with the vacuum leak. I couldn't even get to 4k on the tachometer, without the Z kind of cutting out. Now it doesn't cut out at all at 4k and above. And is running better than it has in quite a while.

As Nismo said...start with the basics. And who knows, you might have the same type of problem I recently had. Good luck man.

dont forget these cars have the dreaded afm. the flapper takes a second to react to a flooring so you get a delay. its not like the ecu is all that quick either.
