ZX Struts Different?

Look out -- newbie with a question! Does anyone have the definitive answer on how early and late ZX struts differ? My Hollander shows distinct #'s for '79-81 and '82-83. I've heard the spindle angle (camber) changed at some point but from what I've found online for alignment specs they're both set the same. Did Nissan change the strut angle and then compensate at the spindle? Be very grateful if someone could 'splain the details -- thanks!

i have a 79 and an 82, and never seen the difference, when i ordered shocks there seemed to be no difference, other than the yearsthing, its prolly from the factory a diff rate of valving in them, if you go to motorsport auto, it shows that 81 turbo is also grouped in with the 82/83 shock group, this leads me to believe its just the valving or oil/gas in them.

It's the rear struts that changed at that time.
