I scored a set of new, unused KBY gas struts for a 1982 ZX.

My question is, can I use them in my 76 280 Z, or are they physically different between the two model years?

As to whether or not the ZX KYBs from will fit your 280z, I do not think they will. I just purchased a set on line for my 240z which carry the same part no. as the KYBs (GS 2 series) for the 280z. The 280zx GS 2 series strut uses a different part no. from the GS 2 series strut that belong to the 240z - 280z.
