struts
I need all 4 struts BADLY!!!! Any suggestions? I aslo want to replace the coilovers as well. I know they came with Tokico, but I was looking at the KYB's because of the price difference. I want a nice firm ride and use the car for mostly street applications. I also want to lose most of the back end "dip" when getting off the line and shifting gears.

kybs are fine but personaly id stick with tokico... and get tokico springs.. thats what im running on my car and i love it.. i use to have KYBs but they didnt last too long... and as for the rear squat... after you get the new springs and struts it wont be so bad.. but theres nothing wrong with it squatting a lil bit.. if you didnt have a lil squat youll get wheel hop... and id rather have it squat then hop..

I totally agree with a little squat, but my car is ridiculous! People think I'm running a really hopped up motor when I hit it hard. Truth be told, it's pretty much stock.
Anyway, I'll start hunting down some Tokicos. Thanks!

shox.com
I just replaced my shocks and struts on my car. I went to shox.com and bought the tokico advanced handling kit and it came with springs also. They come with the tokico blue shocks and struts and tokico springs. I love it and it was only 369 or something like that. They have just the shocks and struts to if you don't need the kit but i was really satisfied about the ride. Its really stiff around corners and bends but the ride isn't that rough either. Before I put the kit on my back suspension was shot and i remember how badly the back end droped when i shifted gears especially when i went from 1st to 2nd.
Good luck

The rear of the 2+2's are different from the coupes if I remember correctly. I think from the factory that 2+2's came with a different spring rate than the coupes. If you want you can email MSA and ask them about the differences. They're usually pretty good at answering those kinda q's.

The difference between the 2+2 and the coupe for springs shocks and struts is only in the springs. The only thing that is different is the length of the spring. The coil diameter, spring rate and actual diameter were all the same. I think the difference was like .7 of an inch in the front and .5 in the rear. I wasn't sure if it would matter or not so i called shox.com and ended up talking to the owner. He was very helpful and he even told me that it has been done before that he knew of that didn't have any problems. Even though he couldn't really tell me that it would work for a 100% because tokico doesn't back it he was very helpful. When i installed the springs and shocks and struts i didn't run into any problems. The springs were quite short so i didn't have to compress them on but if you wanted to they sell spacers for the springs that you could put in there. Now I haven't had a problem since.
Good Luck

Its really easy to do the install. It only took me like 4 hours, but it could be done quicker if you really busted ***. You should need an alignment after you put everything on. But if your plaining on replacing any of your old bushings with urethane bushings then i would wait to get an alignment.
Good luck and enjoy

your going to need the spring compressor to take out the stock springs. and im not sure with the Eibachs if youll need them to install them on.. but as far as the tokicos go you dont need the compressors to install them.. good luck on your car man..
