steering rack bushings

Does anybody know if the steering rack bushings from a 280Z will work with the Steering rack from a 280zx? I know part numbers are different but has anyone ever compared the two? My rack bushings are completely deteriorated and I can get a free set of 280Z bushings. I don't want to waste my wifes time going to pick them up though if they arent going to fit.

I'd never pass up a chance to get free parts! Ebay is always an option. I'd think they'd fit....

All you can do is try. If they don't fit then you are only out gas $

ZX I know the bushings are different between manual and power racks, there is a round and a teardrop shape one on the power rack, and two round on the manual, if that helps. On a z, I have no experience.

The 240Z racks have diamond shaped rack mount bushings... one has a round hole... and the other has a diamond shaped hole...

The bushing with the round hole goes on the passenger side.... the bushing with the diamond shaped hole goes on the drivers side aluminum part of rack mechanism.

I know there are some differences in the S-30 racks... and the S-30 front crossmember... but I believe the rack mount bushings are the same for all S-30s.

Well I've got power steering. My wife went back out to VA so I cant get the bushings for now anyways. I'll just have to wait and get the S130 bushings. Sucks too cause the ones I could've gotten were urethane, not rubber.

I also noticed that the S30 has urethane rack mount bushings and the S130 only lists rubber bushings. In the tiny little picture the bushings look the same... I just ordered the rubber ones.
