any suspension gurus?
I'm wondering if it is possible to replace the front control arm bushings without actually removing the front control arm from the car. My ball joints are fine, and I don't want to destroy them by removing the arm.
I was also wondering if I could do the same for the rear control arms; Replacing the bushing without actually removing the arms from the car.
Does anybody know where I can get a rear diff mount and moustache bar bushings for a reasonable price?
Thanks

as far as your fronts go you can take out your control arm without having destroying your ball hoint.. i did it.. but if your going to swap out your control arm bushings with polly urethanre bushings your gonna have to remove the metal sleeve out of your control arm.. and theres no way your gonna do that if the control arm is still attached to the car.. your either gonna have to get it pressed out or use a hack saw and cut it out...

Heh, since you put it that way, it seems like a good challenge now! I'll remove the control arm as a last resort, but I'll try using a C-clamp and a couple of sockets to press that SOB out of there for my first attempt. Do those poly bushings go in there more easily than the OEM replacements?
Yes, they are great. They have a slightly more firm resistance than rubber. All that extra control in your many suspension components transforms into a very noticeable increase in handling response. You can get parts or a whole car kit of bushings from Motorsport Auto or Strictly Z.
