That's pretty dope! But lots of work. I just left the center speaker hooked to the voice warning box.

1983 GL Power antenna, radio rewire, betty speaker MOD

This is a new video i did where I am showing some mods to the RADIO, Antenna, and Betty Speaker. I took all the knowledge from all over this forum and made a video to make it easy.

I hope you enjoy it!

im curious as to how you got your power antenna to work with an aftermarket radio, right now, I have a constant 12V to the antenna, so I would also need a switched 12V from the ignition or the radio to the antenna? is this correct?

all aftermarket radios have a wire to that purpose (12v switched), blue with white stripe or simple blue.

ok that's what I thought, but im currently running an amp in my car and that's what that is used for, so, my next question, can I splice that wire to use for both the amp and the antenna? or should I run a separate wire for the antenna?

yes you can put the both things (amp / antenna) in that wire.

Nice, but I was expecting to hear Betty. Does she sound like Z31 Betty?
