Thumbs up Simple hour long A/C Duct instal

I was very bored today so I decided to put my A/C ducting back in the car...all went well, here are some pics!!

All in all it was very simple and I removed all the orange bulb covers to make the dash lights white till I can find other different color covers. Removing the dash took about 10 min but once the lower panel is removed from under the steering wheel the spedo cable is easily reached. Turn clockwise to remove when your chest is facing the wheel.

Well I washed the car, pulled out the dust buster, put some leather care product on the seats, and used some Finish 2001 on the rest of the vinyl and tires last night. I took it for a spin to see how big of a difference the dash lights would look without the red covers on the bulbs...WOW!!! Bright and perfect. When I had the dash off I tried cleaning the electrical connections but it did not help, I still have to smack the dash for the Tach to kick on and the lights for the three gauges to the center of the dash but the oil gauge works perfectly now, so one problem done. I hooked the speaker back up so I could hear my little lady talk to me...I guess she will be my girlfriend for a while...boo hooo "lights are on...dear"

What color do you want the gauge display to be? I used the white overlays, and put blue covers on my bulbs. Or you could go the route of getting the white overlays on e-bay that light up indiglo. But yeah I hear ya on the talking lady. That is the only girl I have also LOL. Although my Z is a boy, because of the Bluestreak theme, I am doing. Oh wait that is my Z's girlfriend, I hope he doesn't get mad. LOL. Okay enough ranting from me, good to hear you are moving along with your Z. Mine is slowly but surely.

I am kinda partial to the green lights for gauges but I am not a slave to that. the thought had crossed my mind to go with a blue light, a friend of mine found the little rubber bulb covers locally but I don't remember where he said he got them. Ultimatley it will come down to my final CD player choice, what ever I end up using I am going to try and match my dash lights to it, I am real **** about the radio matching the dash lights. I may goto a colored gauge face but I will do the bulbs first and see if it works for me.

There are some CD Decks out there that will change to ANY color you want.
(In case you needed to know... :-D)
Imagion having that with your dash too!

I was wondering about changing the littler rubber light covers myself too, when you do it you gotta post some pictures! I wasn't sure how it would look with the stock guages

Also wow your dash is really nice! I'm mad jealous, mine looks almost like a spiderweb with all of it's cracks

Yeah I have been thinking about getting the Clarion Pro Audio DXZ745MP for about a year and a half, they dont make them anymore but they are on eBay all day long...I think they change like 7 hundred and something colors including the buttons. Thanks on the dash comment, just don't use armor all of any kind..use finish 2001 or 2K1 now as they call it and it will not crack. I will try and get some pics of the dash lights tonight.
