I'm trying to remove the rear bumper on my daughter's 79. All the nuts came off except one which is just spinning the bolt. I tried to remove the bumper shocks but that obviously is no easy task either. What's the trick guys?
I'm going to show her the pics I have seen of rolling the back and losing the bumper. I like it and if she does I might go that rout. But for now I need to save the bumper and yet get it OFF.

 

If I remember right. on the bumper itself there's 4 bolts on each shock. and there's.... 3? on the shock to body. And one of the bolts is under the gas tank

 

Well I went old school with a cold chisel and beat the crap out of it till I broke it off. Next...

 

You saved yourself a lot of time. Those rear bumper nuts / bolts are usually rusted so bad, they will break when you try to remove them anyway.
