Hazard Lights Switch

Hey guys. So I am in the process of fiberglassing in interior in my friend's 280zx, and am looking for some custom ideas to go with the theme we have. I moved the radio up to where the A/C Controls were (A/C Delete), and that leaves me with the space where the stock radio was to figure out what to do. I am going to start by mounting his Electronic Boost Controller in the center of the fiberglass panel, but that leaves me with a lot of extra space. Which comes to the actual point of this topic...

On the steering column, you have the crappy excuse for a Hazard Lights switch, which half the time doesn't even work for me. I was looking at the spaces and was wondering what it would take to wire up a toggle switch to work as the Hazard Light Switch. Has anyone done this? Would make the steering column look cleaner and it would be more reliable in my mind.

where did you end up putting the push button start ? maybe it could be moved down there (unless it's being used somewhere else and would screw up the flow again)

wiring up a switch for the 4 ways really wouldnt be that hard, i believe its just a on off 2 way switch. and sometimes keeping the center clean is a good thing, make it swoop down to the shifter, kinda like a first gen rx7, but better!€ and dude, go look at your dang car!

My hazard switch you have to jiggle around a bit for it to work. and my blinker's dion't work because of it being bad. And the once in a hunderd times you do try to get the hazrd to work. the lights blink off beat from each other. looks like cop headlight's. Left, Right, Left, Right
