Good Luck/Bad Luck?
So, Im on the freeway Saturday morning and a rock the size of my fist goes right into/through my brand spanking new drivers side headlight!
Why couldn't it have happened before I changed them out?
Well, I guess the lucky part is the fact that it didn't hit the hood, the fender, or the windshield.... that would have really sucked.
Rod.

yes, lucky is what you are.
I had a rock the size of a golf ball hit the front of my car. It was back when I had the stock bumper. The bumper has that rubber upper lip that meets the hood. The rock got wedged between the hood and front bumper rubber. Only scratched the paint. If it was higher it would have dented the hood or bounced up into the windshield.

I've been toying with putting the lens covers on my car, and now I'm wondering what would have happened if I'd had them on when the rock struck? Might have done even more damage to the car if it skipped off the lens cover and up across the hood into the windshield. Or, might have broken the lens cover and the headlight. Hmmm.

yep... 50$ in the hole, seeing as you can't buy just ONE lens cover. have to buy the whole set. PLUS the cost of the headlight.
I'm not gonna say that's lucky... LUCKIER than others, sounds better..
